i should come up with a better title

so i am going to take a stab at blogging...again. first let's get rid of this font.

verdana? lucida? yes, lucida. what about trebuchet? what...no...i do have a weakness for courier...i was trying to resist. but, there is something about the lo-fi-ness of it that i am drawn to. i can't be a fucking design snob all the time.

ok.

so, what's this all about? i was eating breakfast this morning and thinking about my afternoon visit to collister, and how well it is coming along, and how i've been taking pictures...and well, this is my first project - managaing - under construction. and i should keep track. (because as was revealed to some friends over the other night when i stood up, walked in front of them and readjusted and object on a shelf - that i am a little bit obsessive.) so, documenting the progress of my projects. that is what this is all about.

hello old friend!

over the span of about 3 years i probably had roughly 8 blogs. i don't know what the impedance was, but i stopped posting in them. at the tail end of my romance with blogging i had an audio blog, that mainly consisted of drunken ramblings from train stations in towns like red wing, minnesota.
anyway, i'm taking it up again, despite the tiny amount of disappointment when i realized that all of my old blogs were gone. the one through college when i mostly talked about architecture, or my completely unsuccessful long distance relationship where i acted like a loon, the one where i kept track of everything i ate. and the one with the color changing background. god, i loved that blog template!
it also is my birthday in one month and even though every year i think "i really don't want to make a big deal out of my birthday" i always do some how. mostly in the form of elaborate actions to bring attention to myself. this year i am getting my first tattoo.
